St Mary’s Flower Guild provides the flower arrangements for St Mary’s Church throughout the year, visit our photo gallery here. The Guild is a group of around 20 volunteers keen on flower arranging and meeting like-minded people.
Each year the Guild puts on a Flower Festival in the Church over the last Bank Holiday in May, providing refreshments for visitors on Bank Holiday Monday. This is the Guild’s main fundraising event that enables the purchase of flowers throughout the year.
There is also an opportunity to arrange flowers for weddings held in St Mary’s. We have a Wedding Team of 10 arrangers, accomplished in all styles of wedding flowers, you can see some examples here. Any income from providing wedding flowers in the Church goes towards the various flower installations we provide for Church celebrations, such as Harvest Festival, Remembrance and Christmas.
