At Bampton with Clanfield we aim to be as inclusive and accessible as possible in our community and our worship.

St Mary’s Bampton

Toilets: Yes, disabled toilet with baby change facilities
Kitchen: Yes
Access: The South door (porch) has a small drop into the church which can generally be managed by wheelchair users without assistance, however the West (double) door has a much higher step up from the outside and a small drop on the inside, and wheelchair users will need to ask for assistance.
The main body of the church is flat and accessible. The chancel which leads to the High Altar has 3 steps. The High Alter is only used for distributing Communion in Sunday morning Communion services. We can bring communion to the main body of the church for anyone unable to go up to the High Altar via the steps. Please let a sidesperson know if you require this. There is a stone path leading to the church.
Sound System: Yes with hearing aid loop
Seating: Pews with cushions. There are two designated wheelchair spaces in the front half of the Nave.

Access: The main body of the church is flat and accessible. The chancel which leads to the High Altar has 2 steps. The High Alter is only used for distributing Communion in Sunday morning Communion services. We can bring communion to the main body of the church for anyone unable to go up to the High Altar via the steps. Please let a sidsperson know if you require this. There is a stone path leading to the church.

Holy Trinity Lew

Access: There are 2 steps leading into the church itself. The main body of the church is flat and accessible. There is a gravel path leading to the church.

Parking: Limited free parking available on the street in front the church. This is on a 30mph road with no pavement so caution is needed when parking. (see blue line in picture below)
St Mary’s Shifford

Access: St Mary’s is surrounded by grass and there is a downward slope to the church as such it can be muddy and wet at times throughout the year. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters will likely struggle.
